Devastator Enters Production

New Assault ‘Mechs are rolling off the restored production lines at fledgling Norse-Storm BattleMechs factory on Loxley in the Lyran Commonwealth. The DVS-1D Devastator, designed to be a true battlefield juggernaut tips the scales at 100 tons. Based on Star League era blueprints discovered on Hoff in 3023 the Devastator’s primary armament consists of two KaliYama Class 10 Autocannons with Norse-Storm’s patented upgraded loading system. These are backed up by two Nightwind Large Lasers and four Defiance B3M Medium Lasers. The 300 rated engine lets it reach a respectable top speed of 54kph while the Randar Pinpoint-HY tracking system keeps it on target.

Norse-Storm, a new entrant to the ‘Mech manufacturing business is the brain child of Captain Griff Storm, commanding officer of Storm’s Metal Thunder Mercenary unit. While garrisoning Loxley in 3034 Storm discovered the remains of a Star League era ’Mech factory. With substantial loans from the Lyran government and aid of business partner Samuel Norse, the factory has been quickly brought back online. The Devastator is the first new ’Mech to roll off the restored line thanks to a co-licensing agreement with Corean Enterprises and based on a prototype developed at the New Avalon Institute of Science. Corean will also be producing the new design at their Augusta facility with units expected to roll off the lines with a few months time.
