BNC-3MC Production Begins on Dunianshire

Majesty Metals and Manufacturing has spun up a new ’Mech production line at their Dunianshire facility this month. In addition to the Locusts and Shadow Hawks traditionally produced there they now also make a new variant of the Banshee specific to the Magistracy of Canopus. The so-called BNC-3MC sacrifices some of the heat efficiency of the standard 3E model in order to mount the Pontiac 50 model AC/10 (also produced at the Dunianshire facility for use in the Po Heavy Tank) in place of the standard AC/5. Armor protection, speed, and other weaponry remains the same as the standard 3E model. This gives the variant additional stopping power at medium to short range, but does introduce some challenges with heat management for the mechwarrior.

In other weapons manufacturing news, Federated Boeing also released a new conventional bomber last month. The Boeing Jump Bomber, developed as a low-cost unit based on the Guardian Fighter is rugged, cheap, and simple to operate. Lacking any fixed weapons, it relies solely on its four external hardpoints to carry a configurable variety of bombs, rockets, and missiles. Shipments fresh off the line at the Galax facility are quickly being distributed to Federated Suns garrison units throughout the Capellan March as well as being offered for sale on the open market.
